Born in 1956, studied industrial design at the School of Design of the Faculty of Fine Arts, National University of Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo until 1983.
Kazuo Tanaka is president of the GK Design Group Inc. and thus follows Kenji Ekuan, who has made himself a name internationally in the field of industrial design.
Kazuo Tanaka is a guest lecturer at several universities, among them the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, the University of Tokyo, and the Waseda University.
In 2007, Tanaka was elected member of the board of directors of the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design and since then has further extended his international activities. Tanaka's award honours include the red dot design award, Good Design Award (Japan): Grand Prix and Sign Design Association Award: Award of Excellence. |
