The forklift is common piece of machinery that is used widely, and yet its design has not changed since it was invented. The T360 Forklift attempts to develop the common design for better and safer operation.
The designs of existing forklifts have many problems – for example, a narrow field of sight, a big body, an uninteresting form, and an uncomfortable operating interface. One of the biggest problems is the narrow field of sight, which makes it dangerous for operators and field personnel. In addition, the main structural support of the forklift is located in front of the car, which blocks his vision. The design of the T360 locates two structural supports of the forklift at the sides, thus, creating a huge “window” that gives the forklift operator a much wider visual field.
As forklift operators have to turn their heads when they reverse, many complain of neck aches. The body of the car rests on a rotating disc, which allows the forklift operators to look behind them without straining their necks. The car is designed to be spacious, with allowance given at the front of the chair for easy access. The T360’s controls, such as the control buttons and handle, are located on the armrests of the chair, and thus, make operation easy and comfortable.
Forklifts need not be dull. The T360 shows that forklifts can be stylishly designed to resemble a car.
