The sailing yacht eXplorius introduces the hydro-foil technology into the sailing yacht class and presents an innovative approach within the traditional sailing yacht category.
With the hydro-foil technology introduced to the sailing yacht class, the sailing yacht eXplorius presents a progressive mobility concept that bridges the gap between the highly specialised day-sailing boats and conservative trip-sailing boats.
At wind speeds of 10kn and more, the underwater wings lift the hull of the eXplorius yacht out of the water and thereby reduce the friction and displacement of water to a minimum. With its length of 25m (82ft), the yacht offers plenty of room for two to six “Maritime Jetsetters“, who can glide over the waves and are able to travel the oceans comfortably and fast, at speeds up to 32 knots (60 km/h; 37 mph).
The name “eXplorius” is derived from the verb “to explore” and “Aquarius” – the name of the Greek god of water. This is reflected in this yacht’s design to revivify the early discoverers of the oceans. At the same time, with the innovative hydro-foil technology, it also represents the modern standpoint of contemporary sailing yachts.
