Moire Lamp induces a relationship between people, object and space that cannot be comprehended through materiality alone.

Everyone should have a memory of an affecting experience with light – for example, the play of sunlight through leaves and branches that created a relaxing atmosphere as you sat under a tree. When a memory of something once seen or experienced can be linked to a real object, an experience is born that goes beyond that object.

By simply rotating the top of the Moire Lamp, the light pattern that filters through the many tiny holes in its surface changes memorably, projecting impressive moving patterns on the wall. At the same time, the brightness allows the product to work in a functional sense too. Using it is not like operating an electrical product at all, but rather, Moire Lamp gives one the feeling of playing with light and shadow.
