The beauty of reflections on a lake provided inspiration for the design of the Fascinating Figure mobile phone.

The Fascinating Figure mobile phone incorporatesa large, transparent display screen in its design as the manifestation of its conceptual inspiration – the beauty and tranquility of reflections on the surface of a lake. When the phone is in the power-off mode, the transparent screen looks like a still water surface. During operation, flowing music, film images, pictures, web pages, articles, and user interfaces appear on the display, reminiscent of the reflections on the water’s surface. As users indulge in the visual experience provided by the large screen, they are reacquainted with the beauty of the lake’s reflections.

The screen on the side of the phone displays music and caller information. When there is an incoming call, or if music is being played, the information displayed on the side is also projected three-dimensionally into a halo or cloud-like band around the phone. This eliminates the need to pick up the phone to view the caller’s information each time it rings. When music is played, the song information and lyrics are displayed, moving with its rhythm and beat.

The look and feel of the touch-sensor interface is customisable according to the user’s preference. The direction and shape of the screen can be adjusted for the different modes, such as taking pictures, playing music, viewing photos, reading articles and visiting websites.
