Maestro is a customised projector that allows the user to conduct their screen experience with a ‘baton’.
Gestures of movement rather than the pushing of buttons characterise the Maestro customised projector. With ease of use in mind, its operating device is controlled by gestures made with a ‘baton’, resulting in a user experience akin to that of a conductor leading an orchestra.
Typically, the sizes of screen displays are measured by their diagonal lengths. Adopting this idea, Maestro has been designed to allow users to set the size and location of the display by simply moving the ‘baton’ diagonally across a wall. Maestro is controlled as if the user is conducting an orchestra. Gestures are “performed” while touching the groove on the remote control.
These intuitive gestures allow the user to bypass the learning curve found in traditional projectors. They also enable “emotional and interactive communication” between the user and the product.
