Helium is an all-in-one home communication console device designed with advanced technology and materials to cater to future communicative needs.

What will future home communication look like? The Siemens Gigaset Design Visions range of products describes optional futures for home communication. Based on three different scenarios, specific product concepts were developed in interpretation of relevant trends in lifestyle, technology and voice communication. Of these, Helium refers to what is described as “high-tech ecologics”.

High quality ecologic materials and technology have been combined with sensitive human considerations in the development of Helium. Its organic shapes enhance user comfort but also promote an emotional response. The design is based on user intuition and convenient handling. A curved slide mechanism allows the ergonomic overall shape to be retained, while eco plastic imparts a soft touch along with a sophisticated high gloss finish. Key design elements include an area-wide OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) display, and sensor keys with topographic borders. A motion detector allows for pro-active attendance. 3D surround speakers allow a natural sound, while a stereo microphone ensures a clear voice.
