Stick To Me is a clever, adaptable coat stand incorporating a sense of Swedish identity.
Stick To Me is a coat stand whose hooks were inspired by the horseshoe shaped elements that workers for the Swedish telecompanies use to clamp telephone poles. You can easily lift the hooks to any height and turn them 360 degrees along the stick (or stand) and they will snap against it where ever you choose to put them. Since the hooks can be placed at any height, the hanger can be used by both children and adults.
To make the hooks snap perfectly, they are water milled and then coated in recycled rubber from car tyres. The stand itself is made from a single pipe which is split into three legs. This brings back childhood memories of blown shotguns in cartoons and peeled dandelion flower stems. The styling has an abstract feel, but at the same time, it seems calm and steady – like the last tree standing in a forest that has long gone. Stick To Me expresses both intelligence and elegance; it can be used in a playful and personal manner due to the many different colour variations possible.
