Travellers' conditions are always changing, and their states of mind are just as changeable. Hiker’s Diary caters to the many possibilities.

Hiker's Diary – no real shape, no real identity.” Hiker's Diary doesn't have a single form. It can be transformed to a form that is useful for nearly any condition that a traveller may encounter. It is a textile product with multiple characteristics.

As a traveller moves through unfamiliar places, where anything from local customs to the weather may be changing constantly, his or her mental state is also likely to change. Hiker's Diary has been designed based on stories about these constantly changing circumstances, and travellers’ physical and mental needs.

Movement (bag): 27 May 2007 – packed the luggage up to travel...
Rainy weather (rain coat): 3 June 2007 – met a squall in Cambodia...
Reorganisation (fitting room): 18 June 2007 – took a stroll on beach at Pattaya...
Rest (shield mask): 25 June 2007 – felt weary on a street in Aranyaprathet...
Loneliness (doll): 1 July 2007 – missed my family while resting in a hotel in Bangkok…

Hiker's Diary is a design that crosses the boundaries of genres, and can be a traveller's fashion item, a temporary space, a self-defensive gesture, or a missing object.
